Gemma di Langa is a little jewel with a seriously lush center. It's crafted by Alta Langa in Northern Italy exclusively for Murray's, pairing an eye-catching orange annatto-washed rind with an oozy, velvety paste. Thanks to the three milks—cow, goat, and sheep—the flavor is buttery and gently tangy, with earthy mushroom notes emerging near the rind. Add it to your next board beside Rustic Bakery Apricot, Pistachio, & Brandy Crisps and a drizzle of Mitica Acacia Honey.

“Gemma di Langa is the kind of cheese that disappears fast on a board. It’s incredibly luscious, but the goat's milk gives it just enough tang and earthy complexity to keep you coming back for another bite."

  • Gemma di Langa is made with three milks—cow, sheep, and goat—creating a rich, rounded flavor with just enough tang to keep its buttery paste feeling balanced.
  • This special Italian button was created exclusively for Murray’s.
  • Its vivid orange rind is washed with annatto, a plant-derived coloring traditionally made from achiote seeds. The striking exterior gives way to a pale, exceptionally creamy center.
  • As Gemma ripens, its soft paste becomes increasingly velvety and oozy, while subtle earthy and mushroomy notes develop around the rind.

When you receive your cheese, unpack the order and refrigerate the items. We recommend using the cheese paper we send most of our products in to store the cheese. The cheese paper helps cover the items and stop them from drying out, while also allowing the cheese to breathe. Since cheese is mold, it's a living thing! If you cut off air circulation to the cheese, you can actually cause it to suffocate and spoil at a faster rate.
